This choker style neck piece has been made using the traditional Japanese practice of Kintsugi whereby broken pieces of pottery or ceramic are re joined with a liquid gold powder. This neck piece features a small piece of green agate.

The philosophy behind the art of kintsugi is that anything broken can be fixed and made beautiful again. It also embraces one’s flaws and imperfections.

The choker itself is gold plated brass with a parrot clasp and extension chain. The circumference of the choker ( neck ) is 36.5cm with an additional 2cm extension chain allowance.

The pendant itself is 9.4cm long x 3cm at its widest point. It has a depth of 0.5cm.
