Using the traditional Japanese technique of Kintsugi, I have created this modern jewellery piece. It contains modern Japanese broken pottery pieces in plain black and a blue with white stripe design. The pieces are joined together in a creative arrangement using a liquid mixture of zinc, brass and copper that resembles gold. The philosophy is that anything broken can be repaired and that flaws and imperfections can be beautiful.
This piece features rose quartz and green agate.
The choker ( neck ) piece is gold plated brass as is the pendant fitting. The choker has a parrot clasp with extension chain .
The pendant alone is 9cm length x 2.8cm at its widest. At the most it has a depth of 0.5cm.
